GM Buses North Superbus 520

Hey guys. Apologies again for the radio silence.
Whilst we haven’t been as busy as we’d like, things have still been churning over. So a little update:
- one of the windscreen panels was recently replaced after a truck decided to do a bad 9000 point turn.
- a new ticket machine in the form of a TGX150
- a new radio
- a replacement Bluetooth HiFi board for my wicked bangin’ tunes.
- a new exhaust fitted
- new oil filters
- an LED front blind fitted (purely to annoy some keyboard warriors)

Few other bits and bobs to do. Hope to see you all again soon.

BTW, if you’re in a crafting/creative/hoarding mood, we still have some seats available to buy. We’ve had people make a bench for a conservatory, some for use on a stage for a play, and someone replacing a set on their bus. Get in touch 🙂

We’ve seen a massive increase in new likes, which is nice, but we wonder why. We haven’t been to any shows lately, or done any promotion. Nice to know people are interested, though ☺️.

Anyone know a gardener? Lots of tumble weeds on this page lately, sorry! Covid said no to the rallies this year, I guess 😞. I hope some smaller gatherings are organised towards Christmas providing the lockdowns are eased. Stay safe, see you all soon!

While we can’t pull Rori over, we will be thinking of all the transportation workers who have lost their lives due to Covid-19 tomorrow at 11am. We hope you will join us in having the ones lost and their families in your thoughts 🖤 E & C

Our drivers will observe a national minute's silence at 11am on Friday 17th April to pay tribute to all transport workers who've sadly lost their lives to Covid-19. Where safe, buses will pull over as we think of them.

*tumble weeds*. There’s not been a lot of activity on here, TBH, has there? 520 needs a clearing out too, become a bit of a storage area for bits and bobs I’ve accumulated.

Off to Go Goodwins Coaches in the next few weeks or months for an MOT, I hope to get to more events this year. Sadly, the main event we visit - Heaton Park - has been cancelled! Hopefully a new Manchester-area event comes to fruition. -C.

You may have already seen the post but unfortunately TransLancs has been cancelled this year due to a waterlogged field, it is our local rally and we love attending it to see you all 😞😞 We’ll have a look into other local events to see what fits our schedule and let you know if we book any in 🚌🚌 - Ellesse

Me and Ellesse went to visit Guaguas Municipales in Gran Canaria today, mainly to see their brand-new articulated pure electric Irizar ie trambus. Not in service yet, it is still under going testing and route proving, which should conclude in a few months’ time. Here’s a selection of photographs from their garage (I’ll upload the rest later); which operates a fleet of Scania, Volvo, MAN, Irizar, a lone ADL hybrid and a few other types and makes of artic and rigid single-decks. ‘Muchas gracias’ to them for their brilliant Spanish hospitality and showing us around their offices and the 3-floors of depot over looking the city of Las Palmas. Didn’t get to drive one though, perhaps next year! Wonder if me or 520 would survive the ferry trip... -Charlotte.
