What is a reverse Advent calendar? ποΈ
Reverse Advent calendars involve donating, rather than receiving, an item each day, during the Advent period. In this way, local food banks can be supported throughout the festive time.
Items to collect could include: * Tins and packets of food, tea and coffee * Toiletries and sanitary items * Sweets and treats * nappies
How can we promote kindness at Christmas? π β€οΈ
By using a Reverse Advent Calendar we can promote kindness at Christmas. This encourages children to think of others and spread kindness during Advent by giving, rather than just receiving. Children can be encouraged to collect items for food banks in the local community, in the countdown to Christmas.
How can I encourage my child to think of others at Christmas time? π¨βπ©βπ§
Encourage your child to think of others at Christmas time by introducing them to the idea of giving during Advent. A reverse Advent calendar is a super way to get children to think about others and to spread kindness. This is a lovely activity to involve the whole family and a great way to support the local community.

We'd like to Introduce Our Mood Bears Friends!
π§Έβ€οΈπ§‘ππππ
We're excited to introduce our new friends - the Mood Bears!
This cuddly companion is here to help children express and manage their emotions in a fun and creative way.
People of all ages go through strong emotions. Sometimes the emotions are fleeting, sometimes, they are long-lasting, but often they are difficult to cope with and articulate. Children, especially, have difficulty in identifying and expressing how they feel. and being able to self-regulate.
Mood Bears are always there and always ready to listen. They make no judgement and if words are hard, they are good just to cuddle.
All eight Mood Bears have a distinctive colour to match the mood associated with their name, based on colour psychology, and each has paw shapes indicating the mood they depict. Each is designed to illustrate and reflect one of eight important human emotions.
