officers have been out and about across Crumpsall, Cheetham Hill, Broughton and Prestwich today, supported by our state-of-the-art CCTV and ANPR van.

Project Servator officers are specially trained to identify the tell-tale signs that someone may be planning or preparing to commit a crime. Their deployments are deliberately unpredictable, meaning they can appear anywhere, at any time, helping to disrupt criminal activity and keep our communities safe.

During today's deployments, officers arrested a male on suspicion of drug-driving and seized a vehicle that had been abandoned and was suspected to be stolen.

Officers are continuing to urge for information following a fatal stabbing on Dorking Avenue, Manchester earlier today (Thursday 15 October).

We responded to reports of a disturbance at around 2am, where we located a woman with serious injuries. She was sadly pronounced dead at the scene.

She has now been named as Alisha Samuels, aged 26.

| Our Major Incident Team have launched a murder investigation following the death of a woman in Manchester.

Officers responded to reports of a disturbance at around 2am today (Thursday 15 October) on Dorking Avenue, Manchester.

Upon attendance they located a woman, aged in her 20s, with serious injuries, consistent with a stabbing. Despite best efforts of emergency services, the woman was sadly pronounced dead at the scene.

One man, aged 25, has been arrested on suspicion of murder and a man and woman, aged 61 and 38, have been arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender.

They remain in custody, and officers are continuing their enquiries to establish the full circumstances of this incident.

Brunella was last seen at 5.10pm on Friday 9 October 2026 at Tenpin Bowling, Harpurhey Shopping Centre.

She was last seen wearing black leggings and a black hoodie however may have since changed her clothing.

She also has links to City Centre, , and North Manchester.

It was reported a laptop, mobile phone and tablet were stolen from the premises.

Community Safety Reminder | Cheetham Hill Road

We are asking residents, businesses and visitors to remain vigilant when in and around the Cheetham Hill Road area following an increase in reports of mobile phones being targeted.
Our neighbourhood officers are aware of the issue and are continuing to work proactively to tackle this behaviour. We would encourage everyone to remain alert and take a few simple steps to help keep themselves and their belongings safe:

• Keep your mobile phone out of sight when not in use.
• Avoid walking with your phone in your hand close to the roadside.
• Stay aware of your surroundings and avoid becoming distracted by your device.
• If you need to make a call or send a message, consider stepping into a shop or safer public area.
• Enable phone security features such as facial recognition, passcodes and tracking apps.
• Avoid displaying valuable items, including mobile phones, when out and about.

We understand that mobile phones are an important part of everyday life, but taking these simple precautions can significantly reduce the risk of becoming a victim of crime.

| A stop by officers last night resulted in an estimated £400,000 worth of counterfeit ci******es being taken off the streets.

Shortly before 7pm, officers were made aware of two suspicious vans driving in the Harpurhey area.

Officers attended the area and soon identified the vehicles, which were searched and found to contain a vast amount of suspected illicit ci******es.

More than 20,000 packets of ci******es – each containing 20 ci******es and valued at £20 each – were discovered during the searches. The total value is estimated at upwards of £400,000.
