As yesterday was the anniversary of the Manchester Arena Attack, we thought this would be a perfect time to remind you about Martyn's Law.
Martyn’s Law (officially the Terrorism (Protection of Premises) Act 2025) requires qualifying public venues and events across the UK to implement proportionate security measures and preparedness plans to better protect the public from terrorist attacks. Named after Martyn Hett, who was killed in the 2017 Manchester Arena bombing, it received Royal Assent on April 3, 2025.
Marshal Eye is designed to help organisations maintain a robust, coordinated, and resilient response to emergencies, including preparing for the requirements of the upcoming Martyn’s Law.
This legislation, set to enhance public safety across England, Wales, Scotland, and Northern Ireland, will require venues, events, and education premises to implement procedures like:

✅ Lockdown
✅ Communication

Three years ago, Marshal Eye was just an idea.
An idea born from real-world fire safety experience, changing workplaces, and one simple question:
👉 How can we make incident response better?
Since then, it’s been an incredible journey.
From first talking about Marshal Eye during North West Fire Training sessions while it was still being developed… to demonstrating the app to businesses, schools, football clubs, councils, and organisations across the UK.
From carrying out a live school fire drill that unexpectedly sent us viral on TikTok 👀… to sitting back and watching how real users interact with the app so we can continue improving it based on genuine feedback and real-world challenges.
There have been countless updates, changes, late nights, and lessons learned along the way.
Steve has somehow managed to play every character imaginable in our promo videos 🎬
…and the User Guide has probably had more updates than the app itself 📖😂
We've put a huge amount of hard work, determination, and a genuine passion for creating something that helps keep people safer. You will have seen us out and about at so many different events, from Fire Safety days, to speaking opportunities, expos and more.
What started as an idea has grown into a platform now supporting organisations with fire response, critical alerting, reporting, compliance, medical information, lockdown procedures and so much more.
And we’re not stopping there… 👀
