Brassington Pre-school was established in 2003, we are a small friendly pre-school that offers a personal touch.

There is a strong rural influence in our pre-school which is surrounded by breath taking views of the village and surrounding area. The pre-school is held in the village hall downstairs in the activity room, upstairs we have the use of a large function room for riding bikes and gross motor play, outside there is a grassed area complete with a mud kitchen and our much loved guinea pigs ‘Lemonade and Annabelle’, there is also a paved area for mark making and a rubber matted area. Transition into full time education is very important at Brassington pre-school. This is why we have formed strong links with the village school and surrounding schools, so that we can all work together to make the transition into school a smooth and exciting time for your child. You can always click here to visit Brassington.derbyshire.sch.uk
Children are welcome at Brassington pre-school from the age of 2 years. Free funding for all 3/4 year olds some 2 year olds are also eligible for free funding under the new extended criteria.

The children have had a very busy morning using their fine motor skills peeling and chopping vegetables. They have used their senses to feel, smell and touch the different vegetables. To make some delicious vegetable soup.

Happy Birthday to this gorgeous girl for tomorrow. We loved your cake thank you. 🥳🎂🎊

23/09/2026

We made lemon biscuits, all the children joined in using a whole are movement to mix the ingredients together, they then rolled the dough out and used a circle cutter to make a round biscuit. When the biscuits had cooled the children took it in turns to drizzle icing over them.
