With the glorious sunny weather continuing, the garden is still abundant with flora and produce, the lawns bouncing back into life after some well needed rain.
Our tomatoes and radicchios have greatly enjoyed the persistently hot temperatures. Two strong tomato varieties that have been growing well are the heirloom beefsteak Pink Brandywine, and the Italian heritage variety San Marzano, a type of plum tomato that is especially good for making sauces.
Our onions and root vegetables have also seen a successful season, whereas our lettuces and broccoli have not faired so well!
The gardens are open for two final days this season: Thursday 24th Sept and Fri 25th Sept. Book via our website or call 0344 249 1895 to secure your tickets.
