We are pleased to announce that forms for the 'Weave our Heritage: The Nairn Games Tartan Project' are available to pick up at Nairn Library.

To celebrate the 150th anniversary of Nairn Highland Games, organizers are collaborating with local designer Clare Campbell of Prickly Thistle to launch a brand-new official Nairn Games tartan. To this end, they are inviting residents visitors and supporters to share their stories and experiences to inspire the colours that will be woven into the fabric.

Please pick up a form or email [email protected] or [email protected] and share your story of what Nairn Highland Games means to you and what colour best captures that memory and why.

We've got 2 topical 'Books of the Week' to recommend!!

'Show and Tell' by Rob Biddulph come highly recommended by Scott who thought it was "really funny". This warm, rhyming back-to-school story is about a class that competes to produce the most extravagant item for show-and-tell.

'Dangerous' by Essie Fox is recommended by Diane.
Rich in gothic atmosphere and drawing on real events from Byron's life , Dangerous is a riveting historical thriller, as decadent, dark and seductive as the poet himself..

Which one would you like to read?!
