🌟 Female Personal Assistant Wanted – Margam Area 🌟

Are you caring, reliable and looking for a rewarding role where you can make a real difference to someone's daily life?

A lady in her 50s living in the Margam area is looking to recruit a Female Personal Assistant to join her support team from 16th December 2026.

During the week she attends a day centre and enjoys spending her weekends relaxing with some of her favourite TV shows and films, including The Hulk, Gavin & Stacey and Only Fools and Horses. She also enjoys simple craft activities such as threading string through pasta shapes and other sensory activities.

What the role involves:

✅ Supporting with personal care, including showering and dressing
✅ Preparing light meals
✅ Medication prompting
✅ Light household duties, including keeping her bedroom clean and tidy
✅ Providing companionship and support that promotes dignity, independence and wellbeing

About You:

✔ Female applicant only due to personal care requirements
✔ Reliable, punctual and trustworthy
✔ Able to provide sleep-in support for non-waking nights
✔ Caring and respectful, with a person-centred approach
✔ Previous care experience is welcomed but not essential

Hours Available:

Sunday to Thursday evenings with sleep-in support

7:30pm – 10:00pm (2.5 hours)
10:00pm – 7:00am (Sleep-in)
7:00am – 9:30am (2.5 hours)

Job share applications are welcomed, and there is flexibility around the number of shifts worked. You do not need to commit to every available shift.

Additional Benefits:

⭐ £13.45 per hour
⭐ Flexible working arrangements available
⭐ Opportunity for additional hours when other PAs are on annual leave
⭐ No shifts required over the Christmas period as family support is provided

We are looking for a trained Personal Assistant to provide temporary support to a lovely lady in her mid-80s living in the Cimla area of Neath.

📅 Temporary Cover for 4 weeks ✅ Starting week commencing 21st September ✅ 3 days per week (days to be agreed)

⏰ Morning Visit 8:00am - 10:00am (2hrs) (times may vary slightly) • Make a cup of tea ☕ • Prepare breakfast 🍽️ • Provide some assistance with dressing and morning routine

🌙 Evening Visit 6:00pm - 8:00pm (2hrs) (times may vary slightly) • Prepare food 🍲 • Ensure comfort and wellbeing ❤️ • Provide companionship and social support 🤝

We are looking for compassionate and enthusiastic people to become Personal Assistants to help people who need extra care and support.

Personal Assistant vacancies vary quite a lot. Some people just need help getting out of the house, shopping, attending events, etc. Other people may require more intense care such as personal care and around the clock nursing.

There are also vacancies that involve caring for children with complex needs who require social and emotional support.

No matter which vacancies you fill, you will improve other people’s lives and help them to live as independently as possible in their own homes and communities.

If you decide to become a Personal Assistant you do not need prior experience in care. You will receive training for the vacancies that you fill and that training will be paid. You can also access additional training that is not required for your position through an online portal.

Could you be a PA for this lady, who is in her 60's, and living in the Caewern area of Neath. She has a diagnosis of Dementia which does affect her short term memory. She is looking for a PA to support with accessing the community, going to cafes, and keeping her safe when out in the community.

⭐️ PA's are now entitled to a Personal Assistant Care I.D badge, 24/7 counselling & advice line, 24/7 telephone access to legal support, 24/7 access to telephone debt advice and information & support and MyMindPal app (free). This will be once you are successful / in post as a PA.

🚗 For roles where a car driver is required; mileage is payable at 45p per mile, directly from the person you are supporting.

💷 £12.60 per hour for most positions (there are occasional specialist roles paid at a higher rate - but this is always clearly advertised). Your wages will be paid directly by a payroll provider each month.

🏖 You are entitled to annual leave, the same as you would be with any other role.

📋 You are also entitled to take sick leave, maternity and paternity leave etc. The same as you would be in any other type of employment.

💚 If you have a medical condition that prevents you from working (mental health or physical health) and you need to take sick leave, you can get up to 6 funded sessions with a counsellor or a physiotherapist to enable you to return to the workplace.

🧡 Many of our PA vacancies have a degree of flexibility in terms of days and hours. This means you can still support someone but it can be done around your commitments such as children/school/main jobs. Please check the hours in each PA vacancy.
