Busy day yesterday. The front of the barrel finally came off with a little persuasion. The curved plate to replace the front frame stretcher/smokebox saddle has been delivered. We’ve also made a start on removing the drivers side cylinder. Huge thanks to Dave Horsley and Mick Hooper for their help.

Busy day today. All the rivets have been removed so the front part of the barrel can be taken off to be renewed, and ready for the boiler inspector. We’ve also moved the frames under the crane in the shed ready to take out the damaged casting.
