Steam, cheese and cider – a wonderful combination!

This year's Cheese & Cider Train is on Sunday 6th September. This popular experience brings together produce from local cheese, cider and beer makers in a real treat for the senses!

Indulge in some of Northamptonshire’s finest food and drink as you enjoy the comfort of First Class onboard a steam train.

Arrive and board our heritage carriages before you set off through the beautiful Northamptonshire countryside.

Each ticket include one complimentary drink.

Tickets only available to those 18 and over.

We're operating a steam service this Sunday (7th June).

Trains depart Pitsford & Brampton Station at 10am, 11am, 12pm, 1pm, 2pm and 3pm.

Buffet open serving hot and cold food, drinks and snacks.
Souvenir shop and free parking.

Last opportunity to drive and fire a mainline tender locomotive on the NLR!

There is now only 1 space available to drive Gala guest loco No.52322 in our Driver Experiences on Sat 5th September.

These are shared (but extended) experiences, with two participants on the footplate during each session. Each participant will drive for 45 mins and fire for 45 mins over the full length of our 2 mile line.

This experience is strictly limited to one date only.

The loco will be coupled to a brake van, allowing up to 6 friends and family to join you on the experience (at no extra cost).

We're pleased to report that our Platform 3 Buffet has once again received a 5-star rating for food hygiene! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Following an unannounced visit yesterday (31st May) by West Northants Council's Environmental Health deptartment, we are proud to have been awarded the highest rating possible for a business trading in food sales.🤩

The Assessor commented on how clean the Buffet was and that our Management system was up to the highest standard, with Buffet staff proving their knowledge and awareness of the required standards by being well trained in both Food Hygiene Principles and Allergy Awareness.

🥰 Our Buffet is staffed entirely by volunteers who give up their valuable free time not only to serve our customers every week, but also complete all of the necessary background training. Their dedication and commitment is reflected in our excellent rating.

🍰 Why not pop in on one of our open days and sample some of the delicious locally-made cakes or some of our freshly prepared hot food? If you're passing on the Brampton Valley Way you can always call in without having to buy a train ticket. The Buffet is open 10am-3pm most Sundays.

52322 will be the first tender locomotive to operate on our line in the preservation era, and only the 5th former 'main line' engine to run on the NLR since we re-opened to the public in 1996.
