Young children are more likely to have a bad accident at home than anywhere else. But, once you know what to look out for, it’s easy to keep your child safe.

BBQ season is here and we can’t wait to enjoy eating outside again. Just remember a BBQ and the ground underneath it can stay hot enough to cause a serious burn for a long time after it’s been used.

So, stay alert and keep children well away from the cooking area until it’s completely cooled.

To keep children protected from the sun, ensure they wear sunscreen with at least SPF 30, suitable clothing, and wide-brimmed hats, while also seeking shade during peak sun hours between 11 am and 3 pm. It’s crucial to reapply sunscreen every two hours and immediately after swimming or sweating.
