Swim in a Barn Contact information, map and directions, contact form, opening hours, services, ratings, photos, videos and announcements from Swim in a Barn, Public swimming pool, Smallburgh Road Barton turf, Norwich.

The pool is located in a range of 18th century listed barns at Smallburgh Road, Barton Turf in a building that has had various uses ranging from rearing calves to storing farm produce, but which became redundant in the 1990s. A sympathetic and unique conversion has been carried out which has enabled all the original red brick construction, the pantile roof, and the original beams to be retained. The pool is unusually large for a time-share complex, measuring 16.6 metres long, 6 metres wide and a uniform 1.2 metres deep – giving a very generous surface area of almost exactly 100 square metres (or 1070 square feet). It is, therefore, highly suited to those seeking to improve their fitness levels, and, for training purposes, for the more serious swimmers who need to know what distances they have accomplished – 3 lengths of the pool equals 50 metres, 6 lengths 100 metres, and so on.

🏊 PRIVATE POOL HIRE OPPORTUNITY
FOR A SELF-EMPLOYED SWIMMING TEACHER, AQUA FITNESS INSTRUCTOR OR SIMILAR

We are looking for a qualified and insured self-employed swimming teacher, aqua aerobics or aqua fitness instructor, aquatic rehabilitation practitioner, or similar professional who would be interested in hiring available sessions at our private indoor swimming pool.

This could suit someone who already has their own clients or someone looking for a suitable venue to develop small-group lessons and activities.

Possible uses include:

• Private swimming lessons
• Small-group swimming tuition
• Aqua aerobics or aqua fitness
• Aquatic rehabilitation or gentle exercise
• Water-confidence sessions
• Other suitable water-based classes

What we can offer:

• A private, heated indoor swimming pool
• Flexible access to currently available and quieter time slots
• A relaxed and private setting for individual or small-group sessions
• An opportunity to build your own local client base

Please note that this is not an employed position. You would operate independently, manage your own clients and hire the pool time by arrangement. Relevant qualifications and appropriate insurance would be required.

If you are interested or would like to discuss available times and hire arrangements, please send us a private message or email [email protected]

Please feel free to share this post with anyone who may be interested.
