As the weather warms up, we see more outdoor cooking – but BBQs can quickly become dangerous if not used carefully.

Keep them well away from fences, sheds and buildings, never leave them unattended, and make sure they’re fully cooled before disposing of - including coals.

Let’s keep the good times going and prevent fires before they start ✅

This morning London Road Fire Station completed some ALP and Appliance training at the embankment making sure we're ready for any emergencies that may come in.

It took a little longer than anticipated to get them fully changed over but the new appliances at London Road are ready to respond. We promise to look after them.

Today we say farewell to both operational fire appliances based here at London Road. Crews are currently swapping over to 2 brand new fire engines which will be ready to go later today ready to respond.

We would like to extend our sincere thanks to London Road Fire Station and Nottinghamshire Fire and Rescue Service for their incredibly generous donation of 10 fire-retardant bedding packs for our refuge. 💜

This meaningful contribution will have a direct and lasting impact on the women and children we support. For many survivors arriving at refuge, it can be a time of uncertainty and transition. Having access to safe, high-quality bedding not only enhances physical safety, but also helps create a sense of comfort, dignity, and stability during a critical stage of their journey.

Partnerships like this play a vital role in enabling us to provide safe, supportive environments where survivors can begin to rebuild their lives. We are deeply grateful for the continued support and commitment shown to our service and the community we serve.
