Join Greenwood Step Clog and Way of the Wyrd for traditional dance and a bit of fun at The Boat and Horses 1 til 3 Friday 7th April.

Friday 7th April Easter Egg Hunt at the Boat and Horses , 10 am til 3pm .
Bring the kids along

Join us this Saturday 8th April.
Photo display at The Boat and Horses 12 noon.
We will also be honouring our forces veterans with a brief opening ceremony 12 noon with The Mayor.

Tony Gayle has photo albums at The Boathouse Cafe which he is eager to show you and give anecdotes .

Drop into the Cafe anytime from 10 am til 3pm .
Then stay for the music there !

on a Narrowboat trip along the canal.
Tickets are limited ,
£2.50 per person ticket.
Tickets can be purchased over the bar at the Boat and Horses and are on sale now .

So what's happening ?
We have made a plan !
Instead of a weekend we are simplifying the event .

We will then be dedicating more time over the next 6 months to compile stories.

The website will hold photos and memoirs from across the Rylands.

We will be asking residents to come and meet with us , bring photos and tell is your stories so that we can record them on the website.

We are excited to announce that we have secured a little funding to help us with our rylands heritage venture.
This is amazing news as it means we can get the website set up.
Therefore our plan is to proceed with the Heritage Weekend over Easter, but maybe in a little condensed version.
We want to get everything set up and launch the venture at easter but keep it going through the year !

Good Friday and Saturday 8th April we will be showing some heritage photos of the Rylands .
Broxtowe Mayor will be with us at the Boat and Horses on Saturday 8th at 12 noon to launch the venture and then coming to meet Tony at The Boathouse Cafe around 1245.
Please come along and support us , and keep your eye open for ongoing heritage events.
