☀️🌡️ HEAT HEALTH ALERT IN PLACE 🌡️☀️

The UK Health Security Agency has issued a Yellow Heat Health Alert for the East Midlands, covering the period from 22–27 May.

With temperatures forecast to reach around 32°C on the day of the Greasley Gathering, we're looking forward to a fantastic day in the sunshine – but we want everyone to stay safe and enjoy everything the event has to offer.

✅ Wear sun cream and reapply regularly
✅ Bring a hat and dress appropriately for the weather
✅ Drink plenty of water throughout the day
✅ Take breaks in shaded areas when needed
✅ Keep an eye on children, older relatives and those who may be more vulnerable to the heat

If you're planning to take part in the FREE skateboarding sessions with Skate Nottingham, please remember that closed-toe shoes are required for safety – sandals and flip-flops cannot be worn on the ramps.

There will be free drinking water available on site, and Harry's Ices, Fizz & The Feast and Greasley Girls will be serving cold refreshments throughout the day.

Tomorrow, 25th May, we will be having our very own stall at The Greasley Gathering, NG16 3QN 🎉

This will be our 3rd stall event, and we honestly can’t wait! We would absolutely love to see as many of you there as possible 💛

We’ll have a range of our wax melts available, including some of your favourite scents, collection boxes, shapes, snap bars and more 🕯️✨

Join us, for what looks like a fantastic warm sunny day at the Greasley Gathering this Bank Holiday Monday.
We will be in the main sports hall with lots of other talented crafters offering unique gifts that you can't get anywhere else.
We offer personalised gifts and can take orders on the day.

We will be one of the Big Red Bus stops for the Greasley Gathering on Bank Holiday Monday 25th May! ☀️🚌

It’s set to be a lovely warm and sunny day, so why not hop off the bus and join us for a beverage or two and a bite to eat 🍻🍔

🐾 Please Pick Up After Your Dog 🐾

While marking out the event field on Dovecote Recreation Ground for the Greasley Gathering, we were disappointed to discover a significant amount of dog fouling that had not been cleaned up.

Dog mess is not only unpleasant to see (and smell!) - it poses a genuine health risk to children, families, volunteers and visitors using the park. It is also dangerous for the animals and entertainers who will be attending our events, many of whom work directly on the grassed areas.

We respectfully remind all dog owners that dogs should be kept on leads and that any mess must be picked up and disposed of responsibly. Bins are placed around the site at regular intervals to help make this easy. A small act of consideration helps keep our parks safe, welcoming and enjoyable for everyone.

Let's all do our bit to keep Dovecote Recreation Ground clean, safe and event-ready for the whole community. 💚
