A special message for everyone who makes the Cadet Forces what they are. 🎖️

As we celebrate the first ever National Cadets Week, His Majesty The King has shared a message recognising the dedication of cadets, volunteers, families, employers and supporters across the UK.

A moment to celebrate everyone who helps young people build skills, character and confidence for life.

This weekend, Nottinghamshire ACF took part in the annual Tri Service drill competition.

Some seriously impressive drill on display from every contingent. Our colleagues at Sea and in the Air were incredible and deserve some high praise indeed. They were immaculate.

B Coy and D Sqn did an extremely good job and gave a good account of themselves.

Mansfield ATC took home the gold, and Newark SCC got the silver medal.

B Company was awarded medals as the best ACF contingent.

We are very proud of our teams who took the time to travel and take part.

Cadet Sgt Kay was awarded a silver medal in the "Best Indevidual Cadet Drill" category. That's very impressive considering the high quality on display throughout.

ESports 2026 at RAF Hendon this weekend just gone.

Notts had a great day despite the very early start!

There was so much for the cadets to engage with from drone flying to flight simulators, to VR dodgeball and looking around the whole museum as well as marching bands, including TheRi**es!

Cadets, from B Company and D Squadron were an absolute credit to us all, with two being selected to meet and greet VIP guests throughout the day.

All finished off with a free ice cream from the BFBS ice cream van!
Well done everyone!

It’s been a busy weekend for A Company. Whilst others were at RAF Waddington the other seniors were taking part in the Ri**es Cup Competition.

🔥 HUGE CONGRATULATIONS to A Company🔥
We are incredibly proud to announce that our Team have placed 5TH OVERALL at The Ri**es Cadet Cup 2026! 🏆

This was an exceptionally tough competition — the standard was incredibly high, and it was extremely close, with only 6 points separating the top 5 teams! That means every single point counted, and you fought for every one of them 💪

💬 And the praise doesn't stop there! We've had some wonderful feedback from 2 Ri**es, who specifically commended the team for their amazing energy and brilliant banter throughout the whole event! 🤝⚡ They said you brought a fantastic atmosphere and great spirit to the competition, — that's exactly what being a Ri**es cadet and is all about!

Well Done A Company on representing Nottinghamshire ACF at the Ri**es Cup 2026.

A Company today got invited by an ex Nottinghamshire RSM cadet who is serving in the RAF to attend RAF Waddington to help out at their Friends and Family day. An excellent day had by the senior cadets of A Company.
Topped off by seeing the Red Arrows, Silver Swallows, Battle of Britain Memorial Flight and a Typhoon display.

Weekend camp at Beckingham
Over 100 cadets were at Beckingham Camp over the weekend for company training with a programme of activities including training and boards organised by Lt Allardyce and the team of dedicated staff. The board for junior cadet instructors and potential promotions were well attended with cadets from all detachments.
A platoon of company training was aimed at development and subject instruction.
Our range team had excellent results from the day and on our final parade a special award of recognition was presented to the B Company drill team who had bonded over several months of training and for their dedication and commitment to the competition.
Cadet Company Sergeant Major Herrick-Stanley said ‘I feel amazing knowing I worked really hard and we created something. I am truly proud of’.

Yesterday, Nottinghamshire ACF held its annual drill competition.

Teams from A Company, B Comapny, and D Squadron competed for the trophy and an opportunity to go further and take part in the tri service drill competition in October.

It was a close competition with only 2 points between first and second place!

Here are some pics from the day. Congratulations and well done to D Squadron, who pipped B Company to the top spot. We'll see teams from B Company and D Squadron at the tri service!

Please show some support for A Company’s very own SI Julian Boville - Detachment Commander Chilwell.

🏃‍♂️ Tomorrow: Great North Run.
🏃‍♂️ In 3 weeks: Robin Hood Half Marathon.

I’m fundraising for ACCT UK the Army Cadet Charity, supporting the Army Cadets UK. As an ACF volunteer and Detachment Commander with A (RI**ES) Company Notts ACF it’s a cause that’s particularly close to me.

Two half marathons, one sore set of legs, and hopefully a bit of money raised for a great cause! 💪

If you’d like to support me, you know what to do😉 Every donation is hugely appreciated! 🙏
