of We Dig the Castle 2018. We've stripped turf, broken ground in our first trench, trowelled, washed finds, sieved and had a finds identification workshop.... phew! Explainer volunteer Cara has been talking archaeology with visitors to Ye Olde Trip To Jerusalem and we even got the marquee up (many thanks to the anonymous supporter who made its purchase possible). A big thank you for the hard work of everyone on team Day 1 - and see you tomorrow!
