Due to staff illness we unfortunately won't be able to open this evening for year 7 and year 6 session. Apologies for the inconvenience.

We aim to be open as normal for next week!

Update after our 2 weeks closure period.
Tonight we are closed for staff training.
Thursday and Friday this week we are open as normal!

Just a reminder that tonight's session is not on for year 7 and 6. This is due to us having a one off session with some of our former regular older young people allowing us to have a good catch up and offer any support!

Hi all!

I just wanted to see if anyone had any old digital cameras they are getting rid off? It doesn't matter what type as long as they are in working condition, they will be beneficial.

Any donations would be really beneficial for an upcoming project we are going to be running with our young people focusing on developing positive mental health and challenging the negative stigma that surrounds it!

Last chance to vote in the MYP elections tomorrow!

We will have a stall outside the youth club at the end of the school tomorrow if you would like the opportunity to have your say in who will represent Rushcliffe in the Youth parliament come speak to us!

Another update, but good news!

We have been given the go ahead to open the building this evening!
So the session will now be held at the centre.
We will be open 5:30 - 7:30pm with no need to book!

Tonights new plan!

To overcome issues with our building and to ensure we are still offering something for our young people. We are going to be doing an online youth club session this will be accessible through Microsoft teams through invitation, if you are interested in joining please email me at [email protected] and I will send you in an invitation!

This session will run from 6-7 (potentially longer if activities run over). We will be doing some games, challenges and finishing with a quiz!

Understand that this may not be for everyone however if you have any questions please feel free to drop m and email!

Unfortunately due to essential maintenance required the building we are going to be unable to open tonight and tomorrow evening. I am extremely disappointed to have to close especially after recent disruption. I am in the process of exploring alternative solutions for next week. I will update this page accordingly when I have confirmation for the plans going forwards. Massive apologies, I am doing all I can to ensure these repairs will cause as minimum disruption as possible and exploring alternative options!

Hi everyone,

Just a quick update from myself now that I have returned to work after a month off due to health reasons.

I want to firstly apologise for any disruption to the service we provide for the young people and families of Keyworth and surrounding areas. I personally do not like letting the young people down, so I completely understand your frustration. If you have contacted me within the period in which I have been off, I will be getting back to you shortly as I work through emails and messages!

Secondly I want to say a massive thank you to my team here at the Young people centre, who worked incredibly hard whilst I was away to ensure that we were able to offer a reduced service. I am sure their hard work was very much appreciated by the young people as I know it was by me!

Unfortunately we will not be open this evening whilst I catch up on things and get the centre ready to be open for our regular hours from tomorrow. To make it up to you, entry will be free this week with a few extra surprises for you all!

I am looking forward to catching up with you all throughout this week and hearing how you have all been!

Hi all,

We unfortunately will be operating with reduced hours for the next two weeks due to staff illness. The team have come together with a plan to minimise the impact for the young people and enable us to open.

We will only be open Tuesday and Wednesday till the February half term. This ensures that both age groups get at least one session.
