Introducing our next host (this time from Nottingham City of Literature), Nottingham Women's Library.
Founded in 1971 and completely volunteer-run, this library offers a unique space dedicated to feminist literature, women’s activism, and literary engagement. For over 50 years, it has provided a safe and welcoming haven for women across Nottingham, offering education, support and one of Nottingham’s most unique library collections.
They were also featured in this collaboration we did with Books+Publishing about libraries in the Cities of Literature network: https://www.booksandpublishing.com.au/articles/2025/10/02/312232/nottingham-womens-library-staying-true-to-community-roots/
They are looking for a woman writer to inspire their community to reflect creatively on the power and purpose of libraries and women’s spaces.
