Do your staff know what to do when the fire alarm sounds? 🔔

A General Emergency Evacuation Plan (GEEP) sets out the steps everyone should follow in an emergency - detect and alert, evacuate, assemble at the designated point, account for everyone, then wait for further instructions.

Having this mapped out means no one is left guessing when it matters most.

Want help putting a GEEP together for your building? Our team has the knowledge and expertise to ensure your plan is compliant:

A landlord and a property company have been sentenced for serious fire safety breaches at two residential buildings in Lancashire.

Inspectors found obstructed escape routes and fire alarms that were switched off or had no power, in buildings where people were living at the time. Both defendants were convicted of offences under the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005.

For anyone who manages a residential building, this is a reminder that the Responsible Person carries the legal duty, and that a suitable fire risk assessment and working fire detection are where it starts.

If you’re not sure where your building stands, our team can talk you through it.

At the end of July 2026, 4,697 residential buildings of 11 metres or more in England had been identified with unsafe cladding.

This number is identified by people who can appraise external wall risk and question the fire strategy behind it, and this is where the Level 6 Diploma in Advanced Fire Safety Design and Building Risk Management comes in.

It’s designed for experienced fire safety professionals who want to move beyond FRA practice to review fire strategies and design intent, and support Gateway and Golden Thread requirements.

Developed and authored by Endeavour Group and ProQual Awarding Body accredited, it is an Ofqual-regulated qualification with seven mandatory units, assessed through a portfolio of work and a professional discussion. It runs over 12 months.

The next Level 6 intake starts on October 8th. Find all the details here - https://endeavourgroup.co.uk/level-6-diploma-in-advanced-fire-safety-design-and-building-risk-management/

A sofa in a corridor might look harmless, but it isn’t.

Protected escape routes such as corridors and stair landings must stay free of furniture and anything that blocks the path out and adds extra fuel to any fire.

This doesn’t meet Approved Document B or fire safety guidance, and it can delay building evacuation when every second matters.

We can help you ensure you get it right:

Over the last few years, Endeavour has worked with Kexgill Group across multiple sites, from Nottingham and Preston to Bradford and Liverpool.

That range is now growing further, with a new scheme underway at the University of Liverpool. Kexgill Group creates communities across the UK and Europe, with the aim of improving the built environment.

Each site brings its own building type, its own set of stakeholders and its own compliance picture to work through, and Endeavour has stayed involved across all of it rather than handling one project and stepping back.

That continuity means less time spent relearning a client's standards and more time applying what's already understood about how Kexgill operates.

It's the kind of ongoing working relationship that shows what a long-term partnership with Endeavour looks like in practice, not just a single project but a series of buildings, teams and briefs handled over time.

The University of Liverpool scheme is the latest addition to that list, and a good example of how our work together keeps expanding into new locations and new types of work.

Fire safety works best when it's part of the design conversation early, not something added on afterwards.

Our fire engineering solutions fit into a building's design from the outset, covering compartmentation inspections and risk assessments through to more complex engineering work.

High-rise buildings are increasingly using process safety approaches from high-hazard industries, but they must manage greater human variability and less controlled environments.

This means layered protection, ongoing monitoring, and learning are built in, not treated as an afterthought.

The difference is the environment. Industrial sites can control variables that a residential or mixed-use building can't, so the same safety principles must be applied with a different set of challenges in mind.

Telecoms has become an interesting addition to the work we’re doing at Endeavour Group, and this time it took the team outside London for the first time to support M Group Telecoms on the Tyne.

While the setting might be very different from the residential and building safety projects we’re known for, there’s a lot of crossover in the work itself. Assessing risk, understanding compliance requirements and finding solutions that work in complex operational environments all call on the same experience our team brings to projects across the UK.

Working within telecoms is also giving us the chance to apply that knowledge in a different sector, while developing our understanding of the infrastructure and challenges involved in keeping such an important network operating safely.

There were lots of discussions to work through on site and, as you can probably tell from the photos, some fairly impressive views across the Tyne while we were doing it.
