🔴 Red Watch firefighters were kept on their toes during their last tour.
🗓️ Across the 2 day’s & 2 night’s they responded to a mixture of incidents, conducted a variety of training & carried out community prevention work.
🚨Incidents included:
- Rtc, 1 small vehicle on its side 🚙
- Rtc, 1 small vehicle trapped on the central reservation barrier 🚘
- Kitchen Fire 🍳🔥
- Derelict garage fire 🔥
- Diesel vehicle fire containing many Li-ion Batteries 🚐🔋😬
- Multiple false alarms ‼️
Luckily due to seat belts, smoke alarms & early public forewarning no serious injuries were sustained in any of the above.
Training wise the watch carried out:
- A spontaneous pumps & ladders drill 🪜
- BA training with our On-Call Slade Park Fire Station colleagues 💨
- Immediate Emergency Care skills refresh ⛑️
The community prevention work completed:
- Several Safe & Well visits to the public 🗣️
- Inspection & testing of some of our counter flood procedures in key locations 🌊
🤷🏼♂️ Part of the job is never knowing what each shift will bring.
Please be careful & stay safe over the Bonfire & firework period 🙏🏼
