Under 40? We want to hear from you.

What’s it like living in Cornwall? Can you afford to live where you want? Is there enough to do locally? Can you get where you need to go? And what do you think Cornwall Council should be doing differently?

We want to hear from more people under 40 as part of our Let’s Talk About Cornwall survey. Your experiences matter, and your views will help us understand what’s working, what needs to change and what matters most to people across Cornwall.

The survey closes on November 1.

Challenging Poverty, Championing Dignity and Building a Fairer Cornwall.

Poverty is about more than financial hardship. It affects opportunities, wellbeing, dignity and the ability of individuals and families to thrive.

This week, Clinton from Transformation Cornwall attended the Social Justice in Cornwall event, bringing together people and organisations committed to challenging poverty and tackling inequality across our communities.

The event provided a valuable opportunity to connect, share experiences and explore how we can work together to address the root causes of poverty, rather than simply responding to its consequences.

At Transformation Cornwall, we believe that lasting change happens through partnership, understanding and collective action. By supporting grassroots organisations, strengthening community connections and amplifying the voices of those experiencing hardship, we can all play a part in creating a more just and compassionate Cornwall.

A huge thank you to everyone involved in organising the event and to those working tirelessly across Cornwall to challenge poverty and promote social justice.

Because everyone deserves dignity, opportunity and the chance to thrive, regardless of their circumstances.

🚨The new real Living Wage rates for 2026-27 are here.

📍 £14.10 across the UK
📍 £15.45 in London

The real Living Wage is the UK's only independently calculated wage rate that is rooted in what is needed to cover living costs and provide workers and families with long-term security and stability.

Thanks to the commitment of nearly 17,000 Living Wage Employers, hundreds of thousands of workers will benefit from a pay rise.

Yet with 4.4 million jobs still paid below the real Living Wage, the movement remains as important as ever.

Together, we're building a future where everyone earns a wage they can live on.
