Recently Pte Christie headed to west and played at the Army Personnel Centre, Glasgow.
This was to mark the retirement of Brigadier Clare Phillips CBE, Deputy Military Secretary.

Lcpl Donald Stewart -
Played for a burial service which was held for CQMS Charles Monro of 2nd Battalion The Argyll and Sutherland Highlanders who died on 21 October 1914 during the Battle of Armentieres. The burial took place at Aubers Ridge British Cemetery.
Charles was born in County Wicklow, Ireland in 1875, to Scottish parents. He joined the army in Scotland in 1894 and by the time war broke out in 1914 he was an experienced soldier.
His body was recovered recently during de-mining works, and was identified using DNA matching via a sample given by his great-nephew.
CQMS Monro was borne to his grave by a party from 2 Battalion the Royal Regiment of Scotland led by WO2 Michael Donnell and supported by hat orderly Sgt Scott Boyle.
The service was led by Padre Andrew Thompson supported by Captain Finn MacPherson who delivered a reading, bugler Cpl Paul McEntee from 2 SCOTS - Pipes, Drums & Bugles. Played the Last Post and Reveille and while piper LCpl Donald Stewart played Lochaber No More.
