From Sunday 14 June 2026, we will be carrying out essential carriageway resurfacing works on the A93 between the B950 junction and Dalhenzean.
The works will take approximately 10 nights to complete and will be carried out under overnight road closures between 8pm and 6am, Sunday to Thursday. The road will be reopened each day after 6am as usual and will remain open during the weekend.
The works will be carried out in two phases:
- The first phase, between the B950 junction and Mains of Dalrulzion, will begin on Sunday 14 June and will last for five nights. During this time, the B950 junction will also be closed.
- The second phase, between The Hut and Dalhenzean, will begin on Sunday 21 June and will also last for five nights.
During the night-time road closures, the official diversion will be via A93 - Rattray - A926 - Kirriemuir - A90 - Stonehaven - A957 - Banchory - A93 and vice versa.
To reduce the overall duration of the works, some preparatory and kerbing works will be carried out during the day using temporary traffic lights.
We would like to take this opportunity to apologise for any inconvenience caused and thank residents and motorists for their co-operation.

We’re asking businesses across Perth and Kinross to share their views on the business support currently available in the area, whether you have used it, tried to access it, or aren't yet aware of what's on offer, to help us better understand how it is being experienced in practice.
Feedback will help us build a clearer picture of how well current support is meeting the needs of local businesses, identify any gaps or barriers, and shape future services so that businesses of all sizes and sectors can more easily access the help they need to start, grow and thrive locally.
Business people can give us their views on the Council’s Consultation Hub: https://consult.pkc.gov.uk/communities/business-support/

A joint project between Perth and Kinross Community Justice and Safety Partnership and the Scottish Prison Service has already transformed more than 80 unwanted bikes for reuse by local communities.
The initiative has involved serving prisoners at HM Prison Perth and people carrying out unpaid work orders, working together to collect, repair and refurbish bikes collected from Pitlochry Recycling Centre.
As more than half of the bikes were for children and young people, these will now be made available to local schools to help pupils develop their cycling and road safety abilities in conjunction with the Council’s Bikeability project.
