Come hang out and build awesome Lego creations with families navigating diabetes and neurodiversity!

The Big LEGO Build
An afternoon of creativity and connection for families living with diabetes and neurodiversity
Saturday 23 January 2027
1.30pm - 4pm
Bethel Baptist Church, Swavesey
£15 per family
Refreshments provided

Join us for LEGO building challenges, imaginative designs and the chance to make new friends with families from across the East of England. The whole family is welcome! This event is for families living with both diabetes and neurodiversity.
The neurodivergent family member does not have to be the person with diabetes. They could be a sibling or a parent, and no formal diagnosis is needed. Get creative, invent something new and have fun building together. Representatives from diabetes
technology companies will also be there to demonstrate the latest diabetes technology and answer your questions. We look forward to welcoming your family!

We look forward to meeting many of you on the 23rd January.

Kind regards

A little reminder about contacting the Paediatric Diabetes Team 💙 We know how important it is for you to be able to contact us, and we appreciate your patience and understanding as we support all our children, young people and their families.
To help us manage emails as efficiently as possible, please could we ask you to remember the following:
💙 Please include your child’s full name in every email, including their surname. We look after a large number of children and young people, and some share the same first name. Including their full name helps us identify the correct person and respond appropriately.
⏰ Emails are for non-urgent queries only. We aim to respond within 24–48 hours, although we are currently experiencing some delays due to the high volume of work within the service. Please bear with us while we work through your messages.
📩 Please avoid sending multiple emails about the same query. We understand that waiting for a response can be frustrating, but sending repeated emails can make it harder for us to manage the inbox and may delay responses further. We will get back to you as soon as we can.
🚨 If your child or young person needs urgent diabetes advice, please do not wait for an email response. Use the urgent daytime or OOH contact numbers.
Thank you so much for your continued patience, kindness and understanding. We really appreciate your support as we continue to care for our wonderful children, young people and families. 💙

🌟 Introducing Gabby to our Paediatric Diabetes Team! 🌟
We are delighted to welcome Gabby to the team! 💙
Gabby has joined us to support children and young people living with diabetes, and their families, with technology onboarding across our caseload.
She will be helping families get started with diabetes technology, build confidence in using their devices and access additional education and support where needed.
We know that learning to use new technology can sometimes feel overwhelming, so Gabby will be working alongside the team to help make this process as smooth and supportive as possible. 🩵
Please join us in giving Gabby a warm welcome to the team! 👏😊
