Un o'r camsyniadau mwyaf am faethu yw bod yn rhaid i chi roi'r gorau i weithio i'w wneud.

Mae Melissa yn gweithio'n llawn amser ym myd addysg tra hefyd yn maethu ac yn darparu gofal seibiant, gan brofi, gyda'r cymorth cywir a'r trefniant maethu cywir, ei bod hi'n bosibl cyfuno gyrfa â gwneud gwahaniaeth i fywyd plentyn.

One of the biggest misconceptions about fostering is that you have to give up work to do it.

Melissa works full-time in education while also fostering and providing respite care, proving that with the right support and the right fostering arrangement, it is possible to combine a career with making a difference to a child's life.

Mae llawer o ofalwyr maeth yn llwyddo i gydbwyso maethu ochr yn ochr â gwaith, bywyd teuluol ac ymrwymiadau eraill. Mae timau maethu awdurdodau lleol yn gweithio'n agos gyda gofalwyr i ddod o hyd i drefniadau sy'n addas i'w hamgylchiadau a'u cryfderau.

💬 "Dw i’n gweithio'n llawn amser ym myd addysg ac yn dal i gydbwyso cyfrifoldebau maethu a seibiant. Nid yw pob dydd yn berffaith, ond bob dydd rydych chi'n helpu plentyn i adeiladu dyfodol disgleiriach."

– Melissa, Gofalwr Maeth Gwent

Many foster carers successfully balance fostering alongside work, family life and other commitments. Local authority fostering teams work closely with carers to find arrangements that suit their circumstances and strengths.

💬 "I work full-time in education and still balance fostering and respite responsibilities. Not every day is perfect, but every day you're helping a child build a brighter future."

– Melissa, Gwent Foster Carer

Your experience is more valuable than you think.

The skills you've built throughout your career could help a child feel safe, supported and confident.

You don't need to work with children to foster. You just need the willingness to make a difference.

💙 Your skills. Their future.

Mae eich profiad yn fwy gwerthfawr nag yr ydych chi'n meddwl.

Gallai'r sgiliau rydych chi wedi'u meithrin drwy gydol eich gyrfa helpu plentyn i deimlo'n ddiogel, wedi’i gefnogi ac yn hyderus.

Nid oes angen i chi weithio gyda phlant i faethu. Dim ond yr awydd i wneud gwahaniaeth sydd ei angen arnoch chi.

💙 Eich sgiliau. Eu dyfodol.

Mae'r rhinweddau sy'n gwneud rhywun yn dda yn ei swydd yn aml yn ei wneud yn ofalwr maeth gwych hefyd.

Ydych chi wedi gweithio mewn:
✅ Gofal Iechyd? ✅ Addysg? ✅ Gofal Plant? ✅ Gofal Cymdeithasol? ✅ Gwasanaethau Cwsmeriaid? ✅ Gwasanaethau Cyhoeddus?
Mae'r rhestr yn ddiddiwedd.

Efallai bod gennych chi eisoes lawer o'r sgiliau sydd eu hangen fwyaf ar blant, fel:

Amynedd
Cyfathrebu
Gwydnwch
Eiriolaeth
Empathi
Dealltwriaeth

Os ydych chi erioed wedi meddwl tybed a allai maethu gyd-fynd â'ch gyrfa, byddem wrth ein bodd yn siarad â chi.
