Lhe National Lido of Wales, Lido Ponty, is set in the heart of beautiful Ynysangharad War Memorial Park and is a great experience for all ages. Enjoy Lido Ponty whatever the weather, as the three pools are heated to a balmy 28 degrees throughout the season. Enjoy lane swimming and casual swimming in the main pool, or take on the inflatable obstacle course in the activity pool. Sun loungers are scattered around the terrace, perfect on a sunny day for observers or those taking a break from the water. Make sure you stay a while in Ynysangharad War Memorial Park. Lido Play is a huge, industrial-themed adventure playground the kids will love. There are also acres of grounds to explore, including the original bandstand, a secret sunken garden and the statue commemorating Evan and James James, who composed the Welsh National Anthem as they walked through the park.

Just before the end of our main season at the National Lido of Wales, Lido Ponty, we welcomed Council Leader Cllr Ann Crimmings to help us celebrate another epic season!
At the time of her visit, we had welcomed 103,000 visitors – it’s now more than 110,000! One of our busiest seasons ever and we are so grateful to all of you for your support.
Our dedicated early morning swimmers, the Lido Lot who are here come rain or shine.
The daytime dippers and, of course, the families seeking fun!
The weather may not be as nice as it was in this video, but we are BACK OPEN from October 24 for our cold water swim sessions.
Tickets are on sale now. Get yours on our website.
We are hoping for some cheeky Boxing Day and New Year’s Day swims too.
