There are two 'surgeries' planned at the Legh Arms - Thursday 15th October at 2:00pm and Tuesday 20th October at 7:00pm where you could pop along and have a chat with us and learn more.

NOTICE OF TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE

S14 (2) ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Cheshire East Borough Council in exercise of its powers under Section 14 (2) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and of all other enabling powers issues this notice temporarily to prohibit traffic in the following length of road:-

Heybridge Lane, Prestbury Ward, Prestbury, SK10 4HD from the junction of Prestbury Lane to the junction of London Road

The alternative route will be via the following streets: - Prestbury Lane, New Road, The Village, Castle Hill, Castle Hill Court, Wilmslow Road, Prestbury Road, Hough Lane Roundabout, Thorngrove Roundabout, Pendleton Way, Whitehall Bridge Roundabout, Melrose Way, Frog Lane Roundabout, Congleton Road, Chelford Road, Church Lane, Broken Cross, Chester Road, Ivy Road Roundabout, Cumberland Street Roundabout, Cumberland Street, Sainsburys Roundabout, Churchill Way Roundabout, Hibel Road, Beech Lane, Manchester Road

Pedestrian access to any premises situated within the temporary closure will be maintained at all times. Cyclists will be required to dismount in order for access to be maintained. Vehicular access will be maintained for emergency vehicles and residents where possible.

The closure is necessary for Cheshire East Highways to carry out Micro Resurfacing

It is anticipated that the works will take place on the following date(s): Monday 14th September 2026

This notice will become operative on Monday 14th September 2026 for a period of 5 days or for such less time as is necessary to enable the works to be completed.

The road closure for Oakwood Drive, Prestbury Ward, Prestbury, SK10 4EX is part of a bulk order that is due to be sealed on 6th August 2026

The closure will be in place to complete installation of toby boxes, duct tees and floorducting and are scheduled to take place between 31st August 2026 to 10th September 2026.
