Join The Mayor of Reading, Caroline and Liz from Walk Works for a fundraising walk around the town centre next Wednesday, 21 October.

They'll be setting off from the Forbury Bandstand at 12.30pm for a guided walk in and around Reading town centre. It is around 2-3 miles and will be around 45 minutes. It is a perfect opportunity to get away from your desk, get some exercise, meet new people, and get to know our great town of Reading a little better.

All money raised will go to the Mayor's chosen charities: ABC to read, Refugee Support Group and Sport in Mind.

Join RISC for a solidarity event with the people of Cuba. For over six decades, Cuba has faced sanctions that continue to affect daily life across the country. A speaker from the Cuba Solidarity Campaign will explore the impact of recent additional sanctions and their effects on healthcare, education, and wider society. A book and solidarity stalls will be available throughout the event.

Join Reading Elderly Befriending Scheme as they celebrate Black History Month with speakers including Professor Ellis Osabutey, Professor of International Business and Technology Management at Northumbria University, former Deputy Dead, Pauline Forester, and the Mayor of Reading with music from Julia Titus.

Explore a captivating exhibition of oil paintings by Syrian Artist Ahmad Alazami at The Rising Sun Arts Centre this weekend.
