Mental health is something we all have — and looking after it matters just as much as looking after our physical health.

There are many things that can contribute to our wellbeing, and small, everyday activities can make a difference:

🌱 Learning something new can give us a sense of achievement and purpose.

🤝 Connecting with others can help us feel less alone and more supported.

💬 Talking about how we feel can make it easier to ask for help when we need it.

🧘 Making time for ourselves — whether that’s going for a walk, enjoying learning, or simply taking a break — can help us look after our wellbeing.

10 September 2026 marks World Su***de Prevention Day (WSPD), a day dedicated to raising awareness, challenging stigma, and reminding us that conversations about su***de can help save lives.

Changing the narrative means creating a culture of openness, kindness and support, where people can talk about difficult feelings without judgement. Listening and showing someone they are not alone can make a real difference.
