Woop woop!!!!
Congratulations to our amazing Miss Davies for completing the Venice Marathon today.
We had total confidence in her- when she sets her mind to something she always does it- so impressive.
She looks like she has only been for a short stroll!!!
Lots of love from

The team in 1A have been busy this week.
After sorting the objects in Mrs Button's attic (into different materials), we found an incomplete scrapbook.
We pieced it back together, creating the pages of big events from each decade, including the moon landing, the invention of the World Wide Web and COVID-19!

Then, an advert fell out.
New houses being built “WOODROW, REDDITCH”.
On the back, was Malcom’s name.

We discovered that this is where he had moved!
We studied old images of Woodrow, and recreated these, before stepping into role as Malcolm. We decided he was sad, lonely, worried and nervous to be living somewhere new.

We took it super seriously. Well done 1A!

3A have combined their art and DT work together to create a picture of their Mantle work about the fishermen lost at sea.
In art they have explored drawings of the fishermen using Quentin Blake drawings as inspiration.
In DT they have created pneumatic systems to create movement for the kraken which the fishermen thought they had seen!
The children were very proud and excited to see the movement of the sea creature!
Great work 3A 😊

The Voices of Change Mantle team in 4B were called to the nature trail in the woodlands this week.
A hole had appeared at the base of a tree. The team investigated by peering into the hole and discovered bones, boxes, crosses and lots of mini beasts.
They noticed the roots were showing from the tree so the soil had moved! The team may require further expert advice.

Year 1 and Year 3 parents and carers -

We will be swimming every Wednesday after half term.

Please ensure your child comes to school with a swimming kit and towel. If a kit is not provided, your child may not be able to swim.

No jewellery is permitted in the pool, so please make sure all earrings are removed before your child comes to school. We are not able to remove earrings for children.

Any questions, please ask class teachers.

Thank you and happy half term!
