The Rugby Community Safety Partnership has agreed funding for an upcoming project that will help tackle bullying and promote a safer and more inclusive community.

EQuIP, a charity that provides support and advice will offer training to teachers in primary schools.

The project is due to begin soon, alongside ongoing monitoring of hate crime across Rugby.

🚩 “Cheap prices.” “Cash deals.” ‘Same-day collection.”

When you need rubbish gone quickly, a cheap, quick deal can be hard to resist. But rogue traders can use convincing online ads and tempting offers to seem just like legitimate businesses.

So, before paying someone to take your rubbish away, ask for their licence number, check it on the Environment Agency register and make sure they’ll give you a receipt.

Remember: if it looks too good to be true, it probably is.

A few simple checks can protect you and your community from fly-tipping.

We have launched a public consultation on the Coton Park East Design Code.

A proposal to allocate 115,000 square metres of the Coton Park East site for employment floorspace has been included in the borough's emerging Local Plan 2025-2042.

The design code has been prepared to shape physical development on the site and aims to enhance the overall quality of design.

The consultation runs until 4 November.

🚨 Would you be able to spot a rubbish deal?

Rogue waste traders don’t always look like criminals. A professional-looking ad, ‘five-star’ reviews, a tempting price and quick collection can all make a trader look legitimate.

But what happens to your rubbish once it leaves your hands? That good ‘deal’ could end up with your waste being fly-tipped in a local street, park, field or even a graveyard.

This Fight Fly-tipping Fortnight, we’re helping residents spot the warning signs of a waste scam and showing you how to protect yourself, your community and your local environment.

Whenever you’re hiring someone to collect your rubbish:
✅ Ask for a waste carrier licence
✅ Check the number on the Environment Agency register
✅ Check you’ll get a receipt

Don’t just trust the ad. Check the trader.
Don’t fall for a
