We're closing out our three-part series with Dan today. In this final video, he shares his thoughts on what could genuinely help young people as they navigate life's challenges, what he'd like to see more of in his community and the advice he'd give his younger self.

It's a thoughtful note to end on. If you missed parts one and two, catch up before watching this one.👀

This week marks the start of the National Police Chiefs' Council led Safer Town Centres initiative, running until 22nd November 2026.

Cheshire is taking part, contributing to increased hotspot patrols and closer partnership working across town centres.

First up: retail crime, shoplifting and ASB. New legislation will also equip Neighbourhood Policing Teams with tougher powers, including Respect Orders, to enable quick enforcement against prolific offenders.

That's a wrap on Northwich. Today's the third and final Citizens' Assembly, closing out a series where residents didn't hold back on what policing should look like in their community, right down to how they'd allocate the budget themselves.

4️⃣young people. 6️⃣months of paid work. A second chance that sticks.

The Skill Mill programme, here in Cheshire, gives 16 to 18 year olds something real: proper employment, outdoor work and the structure to build a future.

Co-funded by the Police and Crime Commissioner and the Youth Justice Service, it's exactly the kind of prevention work we believe in. This is what turning a corner looks like with some before and after shots.📸
