We’re now over halfway through the Poppy Appeal & what a superb turnout of our volunteers we’ve had!
79 slots taken in both Tesco & Frosts so far by nearly 50 volunteers.
Thank you to each & everyone of you & all of you who have donated!
Without you there wouldn’t be a Poppy Appeal!

The 2026 Poppy Appeal has launched today across the country and the Commonwealth.

Please wherever possible consider donating to support those all effected my war and conflict in the pursuit of freedom.

The 2026 Poppy Appeal starts here!

Today, representatives from the Royal Navy, British Army, and Royal Air Force are taking on a special RBL mission to deliver four unique poppies to inspiring Armed Forces families across the country.

During this year’s Poppy Appeal we are shining a light on families in the Armed Forces community, recognising the unique challenges and sacrifices they make.

Beginning in Manchester, we'll visit North Wales and the RBL’s Battle Back Centre in Shropshire, before finishing in London where we'll be joined by Dame Joanna Lumley.

When someone serves, their family serves too - so this year we ask that you wear your poppy in support of Armed Forces families, past and present.

🌺 𝐑𝐞𝐦𝐞𝐦𝐛𝐫𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐞 𝐒𝐮𝐧𝐝𝐚𝐲 𝐏𝐚𝐫𝐚𝐝𝐞 & 𝐒𝐞𝐫𝐯𝐢𝐜𝐞🌺

You are warmly invited to join us on 𝐒𝐮𝐧𝐝𝐚𝐲 𝟖𝐭𝐡 𝐍𝐨𝐯𝐞𝐦𝐛𝐞𝐫 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔 for our Remembrance Sunday Parade and Service, as we come together as a community to honour and remember all those who made the ultimate sacrifice for our freedom.

The parade will make its way through Sandy, with a service of remembrance at St Swithun’s Church, giving residents and visitors the opportunity to pay their respects to the servicemen and women who gave their lives, as well as all those who have served and continue to serve our country.

We encourage everyone to come along and join us in this important act of remembrance as we stand together as a community to honour the fallen.

Please be aware that road closures and temporary traffic disruption may be in place during the parade.
