There’s a particular thrill to walking through the woods alone at night. 🌙🌳

The familiar paths feel different. Your footsteps sound louder. A rustle in the undergrowth makes you pause and suddenly you’re listening to everything.

Your imagination fills the shadows but as you settle into the darkness, you begin to notice more: moonlight between the branches, an owl calling overhead, the cool air against your face.

That little flutter of fear becomes wonder. You feel alert, alive and completely present.

I enjoy these moments of connection with the wild. Even a woodland you know well has another world to reveal after sunset. ✨

From the vast, open skies of the Sahara to the shelter of the trees. 🌳

Returning to the woods after the desert has made me appreciate the contrasts even more. Golden dunes and shifting sands give way to green canopies, damp earth and the rustle of leaves. Two very different landscapes, each with its own energy, rhythm and beauty.

Yet beneath those differences, I feel the same connection. Both invite me to slow down, pay attention and remember that I’m part of the natural world.

The desert filled me with awe and I’ll carry those memories with me. But if I had to choose, my heart would always lead me back to the woods.

I’m happiest around the trees. There’s something about being among them that feels like coming home. 💚

Wildeye Adventures – Embrace Your Wild Side!

15/10/2026

🐪✨ Different people. Different reasons for coming. One shared adventure in the Sahara.

In this video, our guests reflect on travelling to the desert with Wildeye Adventures. We’re so grateful they trusted us to take them somewhere new and have shared their stories. 💛

Booking an adventure can bring plenty of questions. What will it be like? Will I fit in? Can I make the budget work? It’s natural to feel excited and uncertain at the same time.

Then come the moments you’ll remember: walking alongside camels, sharing mint tea with our nomad guides, laughing around camp and falling asleep beneath a sky full of stars. ✨

Our Sahara journeys are about nature, cultural immersion and experiencing a different rhythm of life. There’s space to explore, connect and simply be.

Hear from the people who joined us on our first desert adventure.

Feeling the call of the wild?

Our next journey is 29 March–6 April 2027

So many moments of awe in this landscape 🐪🧡 The desert isn't empty. It's filled with history, culture, wilderness and magic.✨

Standing among the dunes as the evening light changes, you realise how much there is to experience when you step away from your everyday surroundings. The space. The quiet. The sheer beauty of the world around you.

Wildeye’s first Sahara adventure gave us memories we’ll carry for years and we’re heading back!

Join us for a nature and cultural immersion, travelling alongside our Berber nomad team and their camels, learning desert skills, sharing mint tea around camp and sleeping beneath the stars. ✨

This isn’t a survival challenge. There’s walking and adventure, alongside time to slow down, connect with the land and learn from the people who know it.

If you’ve been dreaming of something different, come and follow the call of the wild with us.

“The disconnection from society and the stillness of the desert felt like a reset for my nervous system.”

Reading these words from Tom after Wildeye Adventures’ first Sahara expedition means so much to me. Thank you, Tom, for joining us and sharing such thoughtful feedback. ⭐

Taking Wildeye into a new environment was a step into the unknown. To hear that the experience gave someone space to slow down and reconnect reminds me why I do this work.

Sleeping beneath the Milky Way, waking to sunrise over the dunes and travelling alongside our Berber nomad guides and camels offered a different rhythm of life—one shaped by the landscape, the weather and the people sharing the journey.

Alongside the adventure and desert skills, there was time for stillness, conversation and simply being present. Our Moroccan team made this possible, sharing their knowledge, hospitality and connection to the land.

I’m grateful to everyone who trusted us enough to be part of it.

Our next Sahara journey takes place 29 March–6 April 2027. If you feel the call of the wild, I’d love to hear from you.

🌍🌿 OUR LIVING PLANET AND THE CHANGING CLIMATE

Recently, Wildeye Adventures visited Springhead Primary School in Kent to share a talk exploring our planet’s incredible land and aquatic biomes, with a special focus on temperate forests, boreal forests and tropical rainforests. 🌳

I shared personal stories from travelling through these landscapes and working on conservation projects to protect forests and wildlife, bringing the children closer to environments far beyond their everyday surroundings.

Watching them listen intently to my jungle stories was a real highlight. Stories of adventure can spark curiosity, but they also open up conversations about biodiversity, our changing climate and why the natural world needs our care.

The talk went well and having children come up afterwards to say thank you meant so much.

Thank you Springhead Primary School for welcoming Wildeye and for giving your pupils the opportunity to learn more about our extraordinary living planet. 🌎✨
