Our Support Worker, Marie, recently received a lovely bunch of flowers from someone she supports, as a thank you for all her hard work. 💚

It’s a lovely reminder of the difference our support workers make and the relationships they build with the people we support.

🌙 One night sleeping rough. A whole new perspective.

Last Thursday, our colleague Sarah Jewett took part in the Simon on the Streets Big Sleep Out, braving a cold, wet night in a busy town centre to raise awareness of homelessness.

💬 “I have a lot of respect for anyone who does that every night. Trying to sleep in a busy, noisy town centre with all the bright streetlights on all night was definitely an experience.” – Sarah

Sarah also heard inspiring stories from people who had been supported by Simon on the Streets to overcome challenges and turn their lives around. ❤️

💚 £375 raised and counting!

A huge well done to Sarah from our Leeds team, who has already smashed her £300 fundraising target for Simon on the Streets Big Sleep Out 2026! 👏

This week, Sarah held a fundraiser at our Leeds office to raise money for Simon on the Streets, ahead of sleeping out at Leeds Civic Hall tomorrow night (8 October).

The event raises vital funds and awareness for people experiencing homelessness across Leeds, with participants spending the night outdoors in support of those facing homelessness.

Sarah has already raised an incredible £375, but there’s still time to support this brilliant cause!

🤝 Working together to create more opportunities!

We recently welcomed Jess and Matt from South Yorkshire Housing Association Employment Services, the Homeless Employment Support team to Green Bridge Community Housing.

Their team supports people experiencing homelessness or insecure housing situations to build confidence, develop skills and find meaningful, sustainable employment.

It was a great opportunity to learn more about their work and explore how we can work together to help the people we support take their next steps towards employment and greater independence. 💚

This month, we’re welcoming Keri from Brain Cogs to Green Bridge Community Housing for two sessions with our staff and the people we support.

A little something to start the school year 💚🎒

Thanks to donations from colleagues across Green Bridge, we raised £260 through our Back to School Drive, enough to provide a £20 Asda George voucher to each of the 13 school aged children within the families we support.

Each voucher is also being given with a handwritten message from our team, wishing them a brilliant year ahead. 🌟

We hope this little gesture helps with some of the costs that come with a new school year and gives every child a positive start.

A huge thank you to everyone across Green Bridge who donated and helped make this possible. 💚
