UPDATE RECEIVED FROM South Yorkshire Mayoral Combined Authority :

Temporary disruption to live passenger information screens

I wanted to make you aware of an issue currently affecting live passenger information at some locations across the network.

Following an issue affecting some IT services globally, we're carrying out essential work on the technology that supports our passenger information screens across parts of the network.

As a result, live departure information is currently unavailable at some Transport Interchanges. Journey planners and timetables remain available and are not affected, and public transport services continue to operate as normal.

Our team is working to restore the service as quickly as possible. We do not currently have a confirmed timeframe for restoration, but we will provide further updates as soon as more information becomes available.

We apologise for the inconvenience and thank customers and partners for their patience while this work is carried out.

Information is also available by calling our Traveline team on 0800 952 002 ((07:00 to 19:00 Monday to Friday and 08:00 to 19:00 Saturday and Sunday).

🚌 Waingate bus stop suspensions – from Monday 26th October

Roadworks on Waingate, as part of Sheffield City Council’s Connecting Sheffield: Castle Street project, will affect bus services from Monday 26th October to Friday 6th November 2026.

🚧 What you need to know:

Temporary traffic lights will be in place, which may cause delays.

Bus stops CG18 and CG19 on Waingate will remain suspended.

Bus stop CG22 on Castle Street will also be suspended.

Affected stops will display notices showing alternative places to catch your bus.

Most services will continue on their normal routes, but passengers are advised to plan ahead and check before travelling.
