🎆 Planning for Bonfire Night? Stay safe

With Bonfire Night coming up this Thursday, please take a few simple steps to help keep yourself, your home and your neighbours safe.

🔥 The safest way to enjoy fireworks is at an organised display.

🏠 Never light fireworks or bonfires on balconies or in communal areas.

🚪 Keep communal hallways, stairwells and other escape routes clear.

🐾 Fireworks can be frightening for pets, so keep them safely indoors where possible and plan ahead.

👋 If you're planning on celebrating at home, letting your neighbours know beforehand can make a big difference, particularly for people with pets, young children or anyone who finds unexpected loud noises distressing.

And don't forget to test your smoke alarms regularly.

For more advice on keeping your home safe from fire, take a look at our Fire Safety page. Link in the comments. 👇

🛠️ You Said, We Did: Improving Our Repairs Service

When customers tell us what matters, we listen.

Our Customer Scrutiny Panel recently carried out an in-depth review of our repairs service after customers highlighted concerns around repair times, communication, repeat visits and knowing what would happen next. Their findings helped shape a range of improvements across the service.

As a result, we've introduced changes including appointment reminders, "on the way" calls, improved repair scheduling, additional quality checks and better support for customers who need extra help.

The impact has been clear, with satisfaction with repair times increasing by 12 percentage points following the panel's recommendations.

This is a great example of our You Said, We Did approach in action and how customer feedback directly influences the services we provide.

📖 Read the full case study via the link in the comments.

We're also publishing more examples of how customer feedback is making a difference across STAR Housing, so keep an eye on our You Said, We Did page for future case studies.
