A man has been jailed for a boiling water attack at a property in Skegness.

A man has been jailed for a boiling water attack at a property in Skegness.

A man has been jailed after throwing a full kettle of boiling water over a woman at a property on Gloucester Close, Skegness, in April 2026.

On Monday, 21 September, at Lincoln Crown Court, Callum Arboine, 28, of Ridgedale View, Ripley, pleaded guilty to causing grievous bodily harm. He appeared at the same court today, Friday 16 October, where he was sentenced to four years and 10 months in prison, with a six-year restraining order to not contact the victim.

The court had heard how, on Monday 13 April 2026, Arboine had thrown a full kettle of boiling water over a 26-year-old woman in the lounge of the property. She fled to the nearby Tesco supermarket on Richmond Drive to escape and seek help. It was evident that she had suffered substantial scolding to her face and a large proportion of her upper body which has subsequently required multiple surgeries and skin grafts.

An investigation was immediately launched to identify and locate the offender. Detectives following multiple lines of inquiry released a Most Wanted appeal just before 9am on 17 April, to help locate a key suspect, Arboine, who was believed to have a number of aliases - ‘Bruce’ or ‘Kez’. He was also believed to have links to Nottingham and Derbyshire, so the search area was potentially vast and seeking the help of the public became imperative to narrow down the search to locate and apprehend him as quickly as possible.

He was arrested at 1.15pm on the same day in Skegness.

🗣️ The officer leading this investigation, Detective Constable Rebecca Graves said: "This was a violent and wholly unacceptable attack that has had a significant emotional and physical impact on the victim. Throughout the investigation and court proceedings the victim showed immense courage and resilience, despite the challenges she faced.

"This offender has demonstrated dangerous and volatile behaviour, and the custodial sentence imposed by the court helps safeguard the public while sending a clear message that serious violence will not be tolerated. We will relentlessly pursue those who commit such offences and use every power, resource, and investigative opportunity available to us to secure justice for victims and bring offenders before the courts."

We initially received a report on Tuesday, 6 October.

Shaw was also charged with criminal damage and is due to appear at Lincoln Magistrates’ Court, this morning (10 October).

"We would encourage anyone who witnesses incidents such as this to report them to us as we are committed to bringing offenders to justice."

A man has been arrested in connection with an ongoing investigation into a report of a man having exposed his p***s in public on Roman Bank, Skegness on Tuesday 6 October.

A 35-year-old man has been arrested this afternoon (9 October) on suspicion of indecent exposure. He remains in police custody while enquiries continue.

🗣️ Community Beat Manager, PC Lucy Hawley, said: “We would always encourage people to report concerns to us, even if they're unsure whether an incident amounts to a crime. Information from the community helps us build a clearer picture of what's happening locally and enables us to work with partners to respond appropriately where needed. The more we understand about issues affecting an area, the better placed we are to support and reassure those who live and work here."

Neighbourhood Policing Sergeant Matt Neal explains how action against ASB can escalate to criminal charges and court appearances, with robust action being taken using this incremental approach.

A 15-year-old boy has been charged with seven anti-social behaviour offences which took place across Skegness between 10-12 September.

The offences include criminal damage to a car and bus, multiple shop thefts and wasting police time.

He is due to appear at Lincoln Youth Court on 21 October for a plea hearing.

Four other teenagers were dealt with through out-of-court interventions, with two receiving warning letters and two entering into Acceptable Behaviour Agreements (ABAs).

The warning letters formally highlight the concerns raised about their behaviour and make clear that any further incidents may result in more serious action. The Acceptable Behaviour Agreements are voluntary contracts between the young people, their parents or guardians, and partner agencies, setting out clear expectations around their conduct and requiring them to stop behaviour that causes harassment, alarm or distress to others.

These measures are designed to address issues at an early stage, encourage positive behaviour, and help prevent further incidents, while providing reassurance to local residents that action is being taken to improve the safety and quality of life within the community. Failure to comply with these interventions may lead to more robust enforcement action, including an incremental approach which may lead to prosecution for any offences committed, and applications for court orders where necessary to protect local residents and businesses.

🗣️ Neighbourhood Policing Sergeant Matt Neal said: "Anti-social behaviour can have a real impact on people’s quality of life, causing distress to residents, businesses and visitors, and that is why we take reports of this nature extremely seriously.

"We work closely with partners, including Futures4Me and children’s services, to engage with young people and address the underlying causes of their behaviour. Wherever possible, our focus is on early intervention and preventing offending from escalating.

"However, when those opportunities are not taken and offences continue, we will always pursue those responsible where there is sufficient evidence to do so. The charges brought in this case demonstrate our determination to hold offenders accountable for their actions.

"We understand the frustration and concern incidents like these can cause within the community, and I want to reassure residents that we will continue to work proactively with our partners to tackle anti-social behaviour, support those affected, and help ensure Skegness, East Lindsey, and the wider county remains a safe and welcoming place for everyone."

👮 Cadets out and about in Skegness tonight!

Our Police Cadets have been out in their hi-vis this evening, delivering Lincs Alert leaflets to residents around Skegness.

They did a fantastic job getting out into the community and certainly enjoyed spotting some of the brilliant seasonally decorated houses along the way! 🎃🍂🏡

A great evening of volunteering, community engagement and teamwork. Well done everyone! 👏💙
