This morning we made courgette cake from the donated courgette from the church yesterday. The children did a great job at mixing all of the ingredients together and squeezing the lemons.

We often go to the church to look around as they children often ask if we can go. Yesterday we took the guitar and did some singing. The acoustics sounded wonderful.

The weather was a little chilly this morning, so we made some warming pumpkin soup from our leftover pumpkins that we had in our autumn tuff tray earlier in the week. The children peeled and chopped and put everything into the pot.

This afternoon we went for a visit to Good Finds. We lost count of how many pumpkins we saw inside. We then went for a look around outside and discovered lots of different items. Before we left we had a nice refreshing drink.

Obstacle course
This morning the weather was looking a little glooming so we set up an obstacle course inside. There are so many benefit’s for children when using an obstacle course, it boosts cardiovascular health and helps to strengthen muscles and joints. Children build social skills by following instructions and cooperate as they move through the course.
When children successfully complete an obstacle course it can lead to increased self esteem and a sense of accomplishment. So whilst it may just look like a few resources, it has a wide range of benefits. 💚
