Yesterday, I went down to support the charity boxing Day held at South Kirkby Miners Welfare.

Plenty of money was raised so hats off to those that organised the event, took part in the event, volunteered and all that turned up.

It’s a great community is ours, we always support good causes 👍

😮 Voter ID Laws Being Reduced? 😮

Not the news that I wanted to wake up to on this fine Sunday.

Andy Burnham ahead of what is ever increasingly looking likely to be a snap election, is rushing through laws to scrap photo ID checks in polling stations and implement votes for 16 year olds.

You can guess for yourselves why this is being pursued…

- 16 and 17 year olds are more likely to vote for a left wing party
- It makes it easier for electoral fraud to be committed

We’ve seen instances of “family voting” in recent by-elections, even the Electoral Commission is “concerned”.

This is not acceptable and this blatant attack on democracy by Andy Burnham needs to be stopped now.

🧽 Powell Street Clean-up 🧽

After speaking to a local resident on Powell Street, South Kirkby, I went down to visit the street and it was in a right state.

Areas like Powell Street that are hidden away have been forgotten about in the past, so I asked the council team to come and give the area some love, and have the team delivered!

Look at the difference the below has made.

Residents can be proud of their street again. This is the sort of difference I am proud to be able to make as one of your South Elmsall and South Kirkby Reform UK ward councillors.

🍅 Grow - South Elmsall 🍅

It was great to see the fantastic work that has been done at Grow - South Elmsall on Albany Crescent following I and your other local councillors signing off on funding to increase the amount of allotment spaces available.

The spaces are used by local schools and residents from around the community. In an age where it is easy to spend more and more time indoors, getting more people outdoors growing their own fruit, veg and herbs is something I’d always encourage.

🏆 Wakefield Trinity Celebrations! 🏆

What a special afternoon in Wakefield city centre it was yesterday.

After 58 long years without a league championship, and just a few years removed from being a championship club, Wakefield finally gets its moment in the sun.

Boy, did the people of Wakefield celebrate yesterday. What an absolutely amazing turnout to celebrate what these lads have achieved.

A massive amount of credit needs to go to Matt Ellis who has turned the club around with his investment and leadership. He’s a Wakefield legend.

These moment don’t come around every year, so enjoy it Wakefield fans🍺

I’d just like to wish Wakefield Trinity all the best in their maiden Rugby Football League Grand Final today at Old Trafford.

Having sold over 15,000 tickets, I’m sure there will be a Trin takeover at Old Trafford later.

🇬🇧 100 Days To Save Britain 🇬🇧

Yesterday, I attended the first “100 Days to save Britain” rally in Doncaster.

It was fantastic to hear from Matt Goodwin, Richard Tice and Nigel Farage on what a Reform UK Government would look like in the first 100 days, and just how our country is in the most perilous situation it has been in since the Second World War.

Andy Burnham is going to crash the economy. He is going to ignore the illegal migration crisis. He is going to champion net zero and he is going to hammer our pensioners.

Enough is enough, we can’t go on like this with a government that ignores the wishes of areas like South Elmsall and South Kirkby.

We are ready for whenever Andy Burnham calls that General Election and we will take the fight to Labour and the Conservatives, both of which have broken Britain.

They first went for the winter fuel allowance.

Now they’re coming for the triple lock.

A blank refusal to cut migrant welfare, net zero and foreign aid whilst hammering pensioners.

Who does this government work for? It certainty isn’t the British people.
