A little about Training in Care and The Care People…

We are an award winning, regional training provider based in the North East. Offering bespoke training programmes within Child and Health & Social Care and education. We pride ourselves on the quality of our training packages, which are accredited by the awarding body Cache. Through our courses we are able to offer various opportunities to those who are either wishing to change their career, are school/higher education leavers, as well as those who are struggling to find work or who have found themselves in long term unemployment. Our courses are delivered from various locations in the Sunderland, South Tyneside and Durham. A list can be found of our other venues by clicking on our ‘notes’ tab on our profile page. It is the established link we hold with The Care People that makes us an unrivalled and unique training provider, as upon completion of a level 2 or 3 in children and young people's workforce you will automatically be put forward for an interview with our sister company. The Care People is a community interest company with a bank of staff, all of whom have obtained their training from Training in Care. Our care staff all benefit from flexible contracts, meaning they can work the hours that suit them and fit in with their family life or other needs. The Care People offer work in crèche's, mentors for classroom support, transport drivers for contact supervision and contact officers for contact supervision. 🚀 BIG NEWS! WE’RE MOVING TO MOODLE! 🎉

We’ll soon be moving away from our current learning platform and switching over to Moodle, our new online learning platform! 📚✨

🤔 What does this mean for you?

✅ Our current platform will no longer be used for your learning once the transition takes place.

✅ Moodle will become your new learning space, where you’ll be able to access your learning materials and continue working towards completing your courses.

✅ We’ll help you get started! We’ll share more information about how to log in, access Moodle and get set up on the new platform.

For now, there’s nothing you need to do! Please keep an eye on your emails and our social media pages for updates, including when the change will happen and how to access your new Moodle account.

We know that changes can take a little getting used to, but don’t worry — we’ll be here to support you throughout the move! 💙

We had a lovely evening together enjoying a spiritual workshop with Bryner Taylor from White Feather House 💜 It was a great opportunity to relax, try something a little different, and spend some quality time together as a team.

This week highlights the vital role that infection prevention and control plays in keeping people safe across health and social care settings.

At Training in Care, we're proud to support care professionals with the knowledge and confidence they need to reduce the spread of infection, protect vulnerable individuals, and maintain high standards of care.

We had a fantastic visit to Shiremoor Adventure Playground Trust today!

We were lucky enough to have a look around their amazing organisation.
It was wonderful to see and hear about the positive impact they have on children, young people, and the wider community.
It is the best playground we have ever seen! Absolutely fantastic, a real child's dream ✨

Of course, one of the highlights was meeting their animals, including their pigs Nancy and Mavis ! 🐽🐽
Thank you for taking the time to show us around and tell us more about the incredible work you do. We look forward to working together and supporting opportunities for local families and young people.

Did you know that good hand hygiene is one of the simplest and most important ways to help prevent the spread of infection?

Whether you're working in a nursery, supporting children through play, or caring for older and vulnerable adults, clean hands help protect everyone. 👶👩🏼‍🦱👴🏾

As a training provider delivering childcare and adult care courses, we believe that understanding the 'why' behind good practice is just as important as knowing how to do it.
