This year's theme for is Safe People on the Move.

Whether we walk, wheel, ride or drive, we all share our roads when we are on the move.

Whoever we are, and however we travel, by using our roads safely we help to protect ourselves and each other.

Those with the potential to do the most harm must take the greatest responsibility for safeguarding people who are more vulnerable on roads than them.

This Road Safety Week, we’ll be learning how we can all be safe when we’re on the move. Every journey and every time.

Join millions of people taking part in raising awareness - at work, at school and in your community. Sign up now at www.brake.org.uk/road-safety-week to access this year's free resources.

Road Safety Week 2026 takes place from 15 - 21 November and is sponsored by Hastings Direct, National Accident Helpline, and Waymo

Why choose St Andrew's?
Every day throughout last academic year, every child was asked how they travelled to school (by our Year 6 children), whilst being encouraged to think of "Greener" ways to travel. As a consequence, St Andrew's was recognised as having a "Good" travel plan. We are proud that we are encouraging our children to think of healthier ways to travel and to consider the impact that travel has on the environment.

🏆 WE’RE CELEBRATING! 🚲🌟

We are incredibly proud to have been named Modeshift STARS Local Authority School of the Year 2026/27! 🎉

A huge thank you to our amazing pupils and dedicated staff for their enthusiasm and commitment to making walking, wheeling and cycling part of everyday life. 💚

It was fantastic to celebrate this achievement at the Modeshift STARS Regional Schools of the Year Awards and to hear such inspiring messages about young people making a difference, using their voices and creating positive change in their communities. 🌍✨

This award recognises the fantastic work taking place across our school to encourage active, healthy and sustainable journeys. We’re so proud of everyone who has played a part in this achievement!

Here’s to continuing our journey towards a healthier, greener future! 🌱
