Say hello to Gee! 🐧

Hatched on the 22nd of April, this little chick also has a rather lovely story behind their name.

During a recent group photo shoot with all five of our 2026 penguin chicks, one fluffy character quickly took a shine to our Operations Supervisor, Graeme. 🥰

Everywhere he went, this chick wasn’t far behind - waddling after him and doing their best to snuggle in close. 💚

And so the name Gee - inspired by Graeme - was chosen, in honour of that very sweet bond. 🐣

Say hello to Happy - the wee poser. 🐧

Born on 19 April to parents Penny and Izzy, this little chick has a name with a story behind it. 🥰

During our Penguin Day celebrations, we asked visitors to help name our first penguin chick of the year, and we had some brilliant suggestions come in. In the end, our keepers chose Happy as their favourite. 🐣

Chaos level: officially increased 🐾

We’ve welcomed five tiny meerkat pups into our 19-strong mob - and life in Meerkat Mansions is already busier (and noisier!) than ever. 😅

The pups are just starting to find their feet (although they’re still a little wobbly on them) and have begun venturing outside. Ready for you to spot! 👀

Something a little different is making a splash at the Safari Park this week! 💧

This Friday the 29th of May, we’ll be joined by the local fire service for some live water safety demonstrations here in the park. 🚒

From 10am, they’ll be set up on the grass near the entrance to the Birds of Prey area, with plenty of time to chat, share advice and hand out useful information leaflets. 📄

Then, after both the 12pm and 2pm flying displays, you’ll be able to see their water safety demonstrations in action - showing simple, practical ways to help keep you and your family safe around water. 🌊

If you’re visiting us on the day, pop along and say hello - it’s well worth a stop while you’re here. 👋
