Wow ..... A Friend Dropping In , is officially 10 years old. Thank you all for believing in me , thank you all for trusting me with your family members.

Hello everyone ..... when people ask me what it is I love about my job , I say it's about making new friends , extending my family , making memories and making the person I care for feel important, still part of the world & loved.
They may have alzheimer's, dementia, be elderly, but inside they are still that person, they are still them. We get a connection and it grows from there.
The stories of their childhood, their families, the day they got married, when they had children, the family holidays , I love listening to it all.
There eyes light up, they smile from ear to ear. But when they lose their husband or wife , been married for over 50/60 years or more , it's so hard. But we can get out the photos, we share the memories, listen to a favourite song, visit a favourite place.
Over the years I have lost a few lovely client's, but still stay intouch with family members.
But sometimes it's hard because they are like an extended family.
Today I had some sad news , she was a lady I had huge respect for, who I had from the start of my business. She had a smile that lit up a room, the stories from bygone days, also about her children, her loving husband ,will stay with me forever.
Not putting down names, but my heart is with you all, also another lovely lady passed a few weeks ago from my primary school days 💔 Just wanted to share this poem ..... Thinking of you all # #

Hello everyone.... just wanted to share this lovely tx I got off one of my clients ❤️ who may I add is in her 90's. This is why I do my job, it's what I love doing. So far this month it's been alot of hospital visits, appointments, but also took one of my ladies for a curry one evening, Poynton Tearooms, Portland Basin museum, lots of garden centres and The Vintage Emporium who every Tuesday from around 1230/1 has a singer on. Love to you all xx

Hello everyone .... well January is nearly over, so spring on it's way. Lighter mornings and evenings I can't wait. So alot been happening, lots of Optegra, Stepping Hill visits for appointments and bed visits.
A few new clients 🥰 welcome if your on FB.
New ideas for the elderly ... SLOW COOKERS.
Plenty of meals made , then can be stored in the freezer for later date. Plenty of good, healthy recipes on line 😊
Lots of lovely lunches out .... Lymefield Garden Centre, Nixons Farm , Uppermill , Glossop , Marple.

Good evening everyone .... this month is going to quick. Hope your all well and enjoying the Autumn colours. Lots of visits to garden centres, which I had to show you this picture from Wilmslow, stopped had a breakfast call here and shop of course.
Then the blanket below is used in a dementia setting at Stepping Hill Hospital. Jackie runs a bob in centre at Stepping Hill Hospital, she's there on a Friday. She welcomes everyone , she is lovely and can help you with lots of information, phone numbers etc etc.
But if ANY one can help with knitting a few squares like in the picture, I'd be happy to add the bits to them, just they are in need of the ""fiddle blankets"", they get put on the dementia clients knees whilst she chats to the carers/caregivers, a bit like twiddle muffs but bigger. Have I blinked and we're in August lol. It's been a hectic few months.Lots of lovely weather that has meant lots of trips to garden centres, Chadkirk, walks around Bramhall. Trips to The Vintage Emporium, Broadstone Mill, Trafford Centre , hospital visits.

Just want to give a big shout out on my page to this fantastic garden centre. My clients love this place and the staff are so welcoming to us all. They always squeeze us in, as it's always best to book, especially with half term upon us. The hanging baskets are looking fabulous, the acers are beautiful. Jip the resident dog is always around 🤣 Food is gorgeous, cakes to die for and the butchers shop is fantastic.
So if your free this weekend , bob down to it, you won't be disappointed love Tracey xx
