Community Bereavement Event – Sale Town Hall Tuesday 5th May 10:30am-4pm
Please do come along to the event where there will be stall holders from local organisations, grief counselling, legal advice and community support, there are also talks being held throughout the day.
At 1pm, we are hosting a Home Care talk. Come along to listen to representatives from Home Instead and Bluebird Care who will talk about all aspects of care at home. There will also be an opportunity to ask questions at the end of the talk.

We’re excited to introduce our new monthly “Meet the Registrar” series 🎉

Each month, we will be spotlighting one of our incredible registrars—sharing their journey, insights, and the amazing work they do every day.

It’s a chance for you to get to know the people behind the scenes, celebrate their achievements, and learn more about what makes our fabulous team so special.

Today we are introducing our wonderful Deputy Registrar Rachel Newton 💙

Originally from Belfast, Rachel moved to England 23 years ago and has built both her life and career here. She’s been a registrar for 9 years, starting her journey in Manchester before bringing her experience to Stockport 4 years ago.
For Rachel, the heart of the role is people. She’s especially passionate about supporting families through loss during death registrations, offering care and compassion when it’s needed most. At the same time, she finds real joy in conducting ceremonies in a wide range of beautiful venues, helping couples create meaningful and memorable moments.
Rachel says it best: “The customers are my passion—I like to make a difference when I can.” Whether that’s guiding someone through a difficult time or helping arrange something as special as a deathbed marriage.
Outside of work, Rachel has been married to her husband Lee for 13 years and is a proud mum to her 17-year-old son, Benjamin. Home life is kept lively by their 6-year-old cocker spaniel, Raven, who’s always close by. 🥰

Stay tuned for our next meet the registrar ✨
