🔥 A new Fire System at St Winifred’s Parish Centre 🔥

As with all our projects, this began with a free site survey, ensuring we could offer the most suitable and compliant solution. Following the survey, we proposed a fully compliant Wireless Fire System.

🧯We recently completed the installation of a fully BS5839-1:2025 compliant wireless fire alarm system at a large, fully operational multi-use site—including offices, workshops, and warehouses.

A hard-wired install would’ve taken 5–6 weeks; our engineers fully built and installed in just 1 week, with minimal disruption to day-to-day operations.�
By building the system in-house, we pre-configured devices before arriving on-site, allowing for a fast, clean installation and efficient commissioning. There we have - lower labour time, lower cost, and zero compromise on quality.

We conduct full wireless radio surveys and only install devices where signal strength is strong, never marginal.

Ensuring that your Holiday Let or Airbnb meets the requirements of The Fire Safety Order can be confusing & expensive if not done right. We have put together some guidance to assist you in ensuring your premises are safe, compliant & ready to let.

As of October 1, 2023, there were amendments made to The Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005; they state that if you own an Holiday Let or Airbnb in England & Wales, you must have a written Fire Risk Assessment. If you don’t have a written Fire Risk Assessment, you cannot legally accept any paying guests.

🔥 IF YOU ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR THE PREMISES, YOU MUST:
✔️Have a suitable Fire Risk Assessment by a qualified assessor

✔️Ensure escape routes, alarms & fire prevention systems are in place

✔️Maintain all fire safety equipment in working order

✔️Provide clear fire procedures for guests and staff

✔️Keep fire safety under regular review

✔️Keep written records, including who completed the assessment.

🔍 YOUR RISK ASSESSMENT SHOULD COVER:

*Cladding & external wall systems
*Fire doors (FD30 rated – 30 mins fire resistance).

🚨SMOKE & HEAT ALARMS IN:

*All bedrooms
*Living/dining areas leading to exits
*Hallways, corridors & staircases
*Kitchens & utility rooms.

✅ KEY FIRE SAFETY REQUIREMENTS:

*Doors must be easy to unlock from inside without a key

*Clear, accessible escape routes for all guests

*Emergency lighting on escape paths (or rechargeable torches/night lights)

*Fire blankets or extinguishers in kitchens (recommended for self-catering stays)

*Fire safety instructions must be provided to all guests

*Exit signage required if routes aren't obvious

*Accessibility limitations should be clearly stated in your listings.
