The Unique World of Two-Year-Olds with Kym Scott - webinar recording now available ▶️

As more schools and early years settings welcome two-year-olds, it's never been more important to understand what makes this age group so unique.

Two-year-olds aren't simply younger nursery children. They are at a remarkable stage of brain development, making huge leaps in their emotional growth, language acquisition and physical exploration, requiring a carefully considered approach to teaching, learning and care.

During this session, Kym encourages us to consider why relationships matter more than ever at this stage, how play fuels development, and how quality environments and adult interactions can maximise learning.

Number Confidence Week starts today!

From 2–8 November, National Numeracy ’s celebrates the importance of building confidence with numbers and encouraging positive attitudes towards maths.

In early years, practitioner confidence matters too. When staff feel more confident in their own mathematical knowledge, they can spot opportunities to bring maths into everyday play, routines and conversations with children.

That’s why, this week, we’re celebrating our NDNA Maths Champions practitioners and sharing how taking part in the programme has helped them grow in confidence and make maths a natural part of children’s learning.

Follow along to hear directly from our settings throughout the week.
