Just 1 week to go until Thompson Park Bowling Club hosts our Coffee Day in support of Together We Can North East – Tackling All Cancers Together.

This fantastic local charity does amazing work supporting people and families affected by cancer across our community, and we’d love your support.

Come along and enjoy a friendly afternoon with tea, coffee, delicious cakes, and great company, all while helping to raise money for a truly worthwhile cause.

Children are very welcome, and we’ll have a few games to keep them entertained, making it a fun day out for the whole family.

Every cup of tea, slice of cake, and donation will help support the incredible work that Together We Can North East – Tackling All Cancers Together does for our local community.

Please come along, bring your family and friends, and help us make this a fantastic day for a truly great cause. We can’t wait to see you there!

Really disappointed to see the state of the back lanes around Southwick Road and across towards Swan Street.

Things were never perfect and theres always been problem spots, but there’s definitely been a decline in the cleanliness of the area. It feels like funding and resources are being funnelled elsewhere rather than into Southwick.

This isn’t the fault of the cleansing staff. They can only go where jobs are reported. You have to fight tooth and nail to get resources into an area and you need people who actually walk around and see what’s happening on a daily basis. We do.

It doesn’t matter what your politics are, this isn’t good enough. The decent people of this area shouldn’t have to put up with this on their doorstep.

I’ll be contacting the council about it. Southwick deserves better.

❤️🤍 Huge credit to SAFC for supporting Wear Red Day and standing against racism.

While our football club is using its platform to champion inclusion and unity, where is our Reform council? Silence speaks volumes.

You cannot claim to stand up for our communities while failing to stand up against racism.

Wearside deserves better. Anti-racism isn’t optional. It’s a responsibility. 🟥
