Independent Parish Councillor for Ketley

08/10/2026

Hi all,

Road Closure: Holyhead Road, Ketley
From: 29th October 2026
To: 30th October 2026

I just wanted to share a road closure that has been put in operation on Holyhead Road from 29th October to 30th October although the order does say 18 months, I now have clarification that this is ONLY 2 days.

The area of road affected is between the Holyhead Road junction from School Lane to the Holyhead Road junction with Beveley Road.

This means that there is likely to be increased throughflow of traffic through Millennium Village so I urge pedestrians, drivers to increase their road safety awareness and also report all near misses and incidents where necessary.

Lets all help keep each other safe!

Cllr Nick Heath and I have received a response from Shaun Davies, MP. He promises to follow up with Taylor Wimpey and Telford & Wrekin Council and has acknowledged receiving other communications from residents and other councillors about the matter.

It really is a team effort trying to get this sorted but I have faith that we might at least get answers and commitments.

A big thank you to Shaun Davies for his response. We'll keep pushing.

See attached screenshots of his letter to Nick and I, and a copy of my response in return.

Transparency is especially important to me - it is the foundations of what trust is built on. 💪
